Tried to date choir boys

A Victorian chap who had agreed to marry his date backed out of the wedding because she was allegedly dating choir boys.

He complained that his when his back was turned she started `running after the choir boys’, and was so upset by her unholy behavior that next day he married another woman.
But his former date complained to a court that by marrying the other woman and not her he was guilty of `breach of promise’, or promising to marry her and then changing his mind.
The judge agreed, and ordered that she be paid compensation of £50.00 (about $100)
